Who are the mysterious team of superheroes – sorry, we mean staff – behind much of what happens at Church of the Saviour? We can now reveal their true identities…
responsible for everything! English export and still learning to speak kiwi – bear with her.
helps to set up and lead services, teaches/preaches and supports the rest of the staff with those tricky theological questions.
remembers the names of around a hundred children and their significant person each week, and is the queen of craft!
runs the youth programme on a Friday and Sunday, as well as pastoral care of our youth, and heaps of outings, socials camps etc, down with the kids.
pastors our 20s and 30s, although if you fit the scene it’s a group with fuzzy edges so anyone from 18 up is welcome. Little known fact: her smile generates around 1000w of electricity per hour!
can handle a holiday programme of 100 kids like a walk in the park, whilst producing the newsletter, managing the rosters and helping out at the V8s – how does she do that?
leads a seniors drop in centre on a Monday and Friday, and also a calming influence on the rest of the staff.
Co-ordinates the teams of people for Rest home services and pastoral care of our older members and is also our Advocate for one day to help out seniors with the need for advocacy for example with housing or health issues.
is our pastor to the Mandarin speaking congregation here at COTS, and also assists with our English Language classes for immigrants. Her name pretty much says it all!
Supervisor for our after school care. Fun and games with a touch of homework are her speciality.
